Thundering Tears

Thundering Tears

The planet’s laughing
I hear it, loud and clear
the sun is shining
it’s got nothing to fear
the ocean roars
it curtsies on its shore
it says the last laugh won’t be yours

hey mr. talk show host
i need your therapy
i dial 976, oh someone, answer me
the earth is crumbling
its falling, bit by bit
what gives, this shit’s ridiculous

i pray for thunder i pray for tears
i pray for thunder thundering tears

maybe but maybe
they’ll drop a bomb today
and in one truth filled light
we’ll all be blown away
and in a billion years
they’ll dig our fossils from ground
all the while the earth is spinning, spinning ’round

oh mighty dollar
can you build another sky?
heavenly father, i hear you, i hear you cry
just give the word, i’ll build and ark of gopher wood
please lord, i think a flood will do us good

i pray for thunder i pray for tears
i pray for thunder thundering tears

  1. I cannot believe how this sounds like you could have recorded it today. Goosebumps my friends. So fucking crazy that it’s still so relevant. More music please!!!!!
